Maharashtra Karate Association
Maharashtra Karate Association is a nonprofit organization registered at charity trust for developing and promoting sports karate-do all over Maharashtra region. The Maharashtra Karate Association is an affiliated unit of All India Karate-Do Federation (National governing body for promoting, developing and controlling Karate activity throughout republic of India) which is recognized by Government of India & Indian Olympic Association.

Maharashtra Karate Association (MKA) is a nonprofit organization registered at charity trust for developing and promoting sports karate-do all over Maharashtra region. MKA is the only recognized and affiliated state association of Maharashtra with All India Karate-Do Federation recognized by Indian Olympic Association, Govt. of India (Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs) and affiliated with World Karate Federation and Asian Karate Do Federation.

MKA is the only governing body of Maharashtra for promoting, developing and controlling recognized Karate-Do all over Maharashtra state. All respective WKF styles like Shotokan, Shito Ryu, Goju Ryu, Wado Ryu and other styles approved are the members of AIKF are member with MKA. Karate players under the banners of MKA are taking part in National Karate-Do Championship of Karate-Do and the most prestigious National Games of India. Through MKA students can participate in national and be in the national squad for International Championships like WKF, AKF, Youth Cup, Commonwealth Karate Championship, South Asian Games and Asian Games. MKA also had also produced many national and international champions.
 
All India Karate Do Federation
All India Karate do Federation, the supreme body of Karate Sports in India, was registered under the Societies Act of 1860 and the object of the Federation is to control and propagate the sport / art of Karate in the territory of India from grassroots level to the top by organizing training camps / seminars and tournaments in the National level as well as to promote and develop Nationwide the true art and spiritual culture of Karate-do for physical culture, self defense and amateur sport and represent India in the International Championships, meetings and seminars, to organize standardized karate-do competitions as per rules of refereeing and judging of World Karate do Federation. All India Karate do Federation is the only Karate Federation recognized by the Government of India and Indian Olympic Association as well as Asian Karate Federation and World Karate Federation. The AIKF which started with only two states as its members, in 1978 to promote, propagate and disseminate karate to the farthest comers of India, grew to a large body with a membership of 31 state associations and 3 government / semi government bodies in its fold.
 
Asian Karate Federation
The Asian Karatedo Federation (AKF) is the governing body of sport karate of about 39 countries of karatedo federation in Asia. The AKF is a non-profit organization and performs its activities on an amateur basis in compliance with the principles set forth in the Olympic Charter, duly recognized by the World Karate Federation, the largest international governing body of sport karate with over 180 member countries. It is the only karate organization recognised by the International Olympic Committee and has more than fifty million members. The AKF organizes the Asian Karatedo Championships, the Junior and Senior AKF Championships in every two years in between the Olympic and Asian Games and participates in WKF World Karate Championships. The President of the AKF is Kuang-Huei Chang of Chinese Taipei and Bill Mok of Hong Kong, China serves as the Secretary General.
 
World Karate Federation
The World Karate Federation, or WKF, was formed in 1990 from former WUKO (World Union of Karate-Do Organizations) members and is the largest international governing body of sport karate with over 130 member countries. It is the only karate organization recognised by the International Olympic Committee and has more than ten million members. The WKF organizes the Junior and Senior Karate World Championships, which are each held every other year. The President of the WKF is Antonio Espinos, and the headquarters are located in Madrid, Spain. The styles recognised by the WKF are Goju-ryu, Shito-ryu, Shotokan and Wado-ryu.
